Meet the Team

Jamie Weiss

Inspire Dance Academy Partner, Tap, Jazz and Competition Team Instructor

When Jaime was just 3 years old when her mom put her in her first dance class in the Bay Area of California where she grew up and it quickly became her passion. By age 5, she started dancing competitively at dance competitions and dance pageants. She competed in ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical and by age 10 she began incorporating her own choreography. Jaime competed in several competitions every year throughout the Bay Area, Anaheim, and Las Vegas. She continued competitive dance as well as cheerleading throughout her school years but at age 20 she decided to stop dancing in order to focus on school and pursue her career as a pharmacist. After getting married and settling in the Aztec area, Jaime had two children, Aiden and Isla. When Isla turned 4 years old, Jaime enrolled her in her first dance class at Pointe of Grace. Not only did Isla love the class, but it also reignited Jaime’s enthusiasm for dance and she soon began teaching tap dance. Within the last 6 years, it has snowballed into teaching more tap, jazz, and choreographing many recitals and competition pieces. Teaching and choreographing with her heart and soul is beyond rewarding for Jaime as she thrives in watching the students learn and grow and gain confidence. Her daughter Isla has inherited her mother’s enthusiasm for dance and even lets her mom be her teacher for some classes! Jaime can be found spending her time at Inspire Dance Academy, working as a pharmacist at Walgreens, shuttling her kids around with their various sports activities, or skiing with her children and husband Zach.

Tara Workman

Inspire Dance Academy Partner, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Competition Team Instructor

We are so blessed to have such an amazing person be part of our team. This year she joins us as one of our Co-Directors. She will be teaching, Jazz, Hiphop, Combo Classes and choreographing for our competition team.

Tara was born and raised in Durango Colorado. She started dancing around age 5 with Dance In The Rockies. She took Tap and Jazz classes until she was a pre-teen when she became the youngest girl on the competition team. During her competitive years of dance, Tara practiced Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. The competition team did many local performances, parades, etc., as well as traveling for competitions and classes in places like Denver, CO, and Las Vegas, NV. Dance also gave her the opportunity to travel and perform in NYC where she was able to visit Radio City Music Hall, meet the Rockettes, take a class at the Joffrey Ballet, and see the Broadway Premier of The Lion King. The dance was always a therapeutic outlet for Tara, and she poured her heart into being devoted to the sport, spending countless hours at the studio, and taking every class available to her. Tara has always held a deep passion for the art of dance. She looks forward to continuing that passion with Inspire Dance Academy, and watching her children and helping others to express themselves and grow.

Timari Caldwell

Inspire Dance Academy Ballet and Contemporary Dance Instructor

Timari is the perfect example of right time right place! She has been with us since the beginning of the opening our doors and has been essential in sculpting our competition team and building programs like pre pointe, strength and stretch and contemporary 1. She focuses on the dancer as a whole to build them into successful people not just technical dancers. We are blessed to have her as part of our family!!

Timari began dancing in 2005 at 11 years old with Dance4Him. Her mother began homeschooling her and wanted to make sure she was getting enough exercise and social life. What started as a P.E. class quickly turned into a passion. Timari studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, and jazz. She danced in local performances such as The Young Artist Recital and danced competitively in Albuquerque and Phoenix. After leaving Dance4Him in 2012, Timari thought that her dancing days were over. Not long after, she was offered a teaching job and ended up teaching for three different studios over the course of 5 years. It wasn’t until 2017 when Timari felt that she found her home as a teacher and an artist at Inspire Dance Academy. Timari teaches ballet, contemporary, and strength and conditioning classes. She is passionate about teaching proper technique and etiquette in dance but also encourages artistic freedom with her students. She believes that the discipline required for dance teaches important life lessons and that art and the ability to express one’s self is very important. Timari is looking forward to her third year teaching at Inspire Dance Academy.
